This page describes the planned local-first privacy posture for Classroom Checkout Log before launch.
Local-first classroom records
Classroom Checkout Log is planned as a local-first classroom utility. Item names, asset tags, borrower names, class or group labels, checkout history, due-back dates, condition notes, optional signatures, and optional return photos are expected to stay on the device unless the teacher exports or shares them.
No account planned for v1
The planned v1 does not require an account and does not connect to district systems, SIS/LMS tools, Google Classroom, or cloud sync unless a future implementation ticket explicitly changes that scope.
Camera, photos, and exports
If camera or photo access is included, it is used only for scanning item codes or attaching item/return-condition photos. If exports are included, exported CSV/PDF files are controlled by the teacher after they leave the app.
Before App Store submission
Final App Store privacy answers must be updated if implementation adds analytics, diagnostics, crash reporting, cloud sync, account features, third-party SDKs, or any off-device data processing.
